UPSC CPF AC Exam 2012 –Apply Online for 401 Vacancies


Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued notification against recruitment of 401 Assistant Commandant vacancies through the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination 2012. Number of Vacancies: 401

Name of Post: Assistant Commandant
Vacancy Distribution:
1. BSF – 94 vacancies
2. CRPF – 223 vacancies
3. CISF – 44 vacancies
4. ITBP – 26 vacancies
5. SSB – 14 vacancies

Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be between 20 years and 25 years. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-08-2012. Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline form recognized University.

Application Fee Details: Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI/Associate Bank by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card. SC/ST/Female candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Examination, Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests, Interview/Personality Test and Final Selection/Merit.

How to Apply: Candidates will be required to apply for the post through Online mode, for which they need to log on to UPSC website www.upsconline.nic.in. Applications must be submitted Online on or before 27-08-2012.

Instructions for Online Application:
1. Make the payment of fee through payment of cash at SBI or through net banking facility of SBI.
2. Log on to www.upsconline.nic.in to start the Online Application process.
3. Select on ‘Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC’ link.
4. Select the ‘Click Here’ link below the Part I Registration.
5. Fill all marked details carefully, check once for errors and click on ‘Continue’ button. Retain the Registration ID carefully.
6. Fill all marked details in Part II of Application carefully and upload the photograph and signature at places provided
7. Click on ‘Submit’ button and after submission, take print out of application & retain it for further use.
