3. Scholarship Program: Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program

Brief Scholarship Description: The Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program will provide opportunities to up to eight Indian secondary school teachers (6th to 12th grades) of English, Mathematics, or Science to participate in direct exchange of positions with US teachers for the semester beginning August/September 2013, pending availability of funds. 4. Scholarship Program: Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program

Brief Scholarship Description: The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) invites applications from interested Indian nationals, between 21 and 29 years of age, currently teaching English at college level or training to be teachers of English for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program. The FLTA Program, an integral part of the Fulbright Student Program, is funded by the US Department of State. The purpose of the FLTA Program is to strengthen foreign language instruction at US colleges and universities, while providing future foreign teachers of English with the opportunity to refine their teaching skills, increase their English language proficiency and extend their knowledge of US society and culture.
